Immuniserings is die beste manier om jou kinders teen siektes te beskerm. Inentings word gegee vanaf geboorte tot en met 12 jaar. As ouer is dit jou verantwoordelikheid om jou kinders te beskerm deur te verseker dat hulle hul immuniserings ontvang.
Daar is verskeie maniere hoe jy jou kinders kan beskerm soos hulle groter word, maar wanneer dit kom by beskerming teen sekere kindersiektes, beveel die medici sterk aan dat kinders immuniserings ontvang.
Vandag het baie van die siektes so te sê verdwyn in verskeie lande weens immunisering daarteen. Om jou kind te beskerm, behoort immunisering op tyd toegedien word.
Daar is ook addisionele privaat immuniserings beskikbaar teen masels, pampoentjies en rubella (MMR inenting), sowel as Hepatitis A en waterpokkies. Vanaf 10 jaar kan dogters geïmmuniseer word teen servikale kanker.
